Rev. Cookey-Gam Urges Family Members to Support Beneficiaries as Dr. Andrew Igwe Empowers Umu-Ogbo Women

As part of his commitment to family development and economic empowerment, Dr. Andrew Igwe organized a financial empowerment programme for women of the Umu-Ogbo family on March 30, 2025.

The initiative was designed to provide beneficiaries with startup funds to engage in meaningful business ventures, promote entrepreneurship, and foster long-term financial independence among family members.

During the programme, beneficiaries were encouraged to utilize the funds wisely and invest in productive ventures that would generate sustainable income and improve their economic well-being.

Speaking at the event, Rev. Lawrence Cookey-Gam urged members of the Umu-Ogbo family to continually pray for the beneficiaries and support them as they embark on their entrepreneurial journeys. He emphasized the importance of encouragement, accountability, and community support in ensuring the success of the initiative.

Also speaking, one of the respected elders of the Umu-Ogbo family, Mr. Mechi Igwe, advised the beneficiaries to be prudent and disciplined in managing the funds entrusted to them. He encouraged them to focus on growing their businesses and making the most of the opportunity provided.

In his remarks, Dr. Andrew Igwe reminded the women that the empowerment funds were strictly intended for business purposes and not for luxury spending or non-productive activities.

He further advised them to remain focused and ensure that the funds were invested wisely for the purpose for which they were given.

Dr. Igwe also encouraged the women to be financially responsible and maintain control over their business capital, stressing that the success of the programme would create opportunities for more beneficiaries in the future.

He concluded by praying for the success of the women and expressing hope that the initiative would lead to economic growth, self-reliance, and improved livelihoods for their families.

The beneficiaries, in turn, expressed heartfelt gratitude to God and to Dr. Andrew Igwe for the opportunity. They pledged to make good use of the funds and work diligently toward building successful businesses.

The empowerment programme ended on a joyful and hopeful note as participants celebrated the opportunity to begin new entrepreneurial ventures.

To God be the glory.
