Dr. Andrew Igwe Donates Modern Church Auditorium to Assemblies of God Church, Akabuka
Sunday, December 28, 2025, marked a historic and memorable milestone for the people of Akabuka, members of the Assemblies of God Church, the Dr. Andrew A. Igwe Care Foundation (DAAICF), and numerous guests who gathered to witness the dedication and grand opening of the new church auditorium donated by Dr. Andrew Igwe through his Foundation.
The project, which stands as a symbol of faith, generosity, and community service, was officially dedicated and handed over to the Assemblies of God Church, Akabuka, for worship and ministry.
Speaking during the ceremony, Dr. Andrew Igwe revealed that the project was inspired by a divine mandate.
“God spoke to me directly to build a house of worship for Him, not through any prophet. What we are witnessing today is the grace of God at work in my life,” he stated.
The newly completed church auditorium is a modern facility with a seating capacity of approximately 400 worshippers. The structure features a gallery, three entrance and exit doors, a staircase, wheelchair-accessible facilities for persons living with disabilities, two administrative and ministerial offices, a store room, and a telecommunications/technical control room.
Additional features include CCTV and television connectivity, a beautifully designed 3D panel altar wall, a modern pulpit stand, offering boxes, and well-equipped convenience facilities. The auditorium also boasts an independent water supply system and a fully landscaped compound finished with modern interlocking paving stones.
Delivering her goodwill message at the event, the Deputy Governor of Rivers State and Grand Patron of the Dr. Andrew A. Igwe Care Foundation, Her Excellency Prof. Ngozi Nma Odu, DSSRS, commended Dr. Igwe for his unwavering commitment to humanitarian service and community development.

This church edifice stands not only as a place of worship but also as a symbol of hope, unity, and spiritual renewal for the Akabuka community and its environs,” she said.
The dedication ceremony was filled with moments of celebration and thanksgiving. Guests were entertained by gospel music performances, while goodwill messages, commendations, cultural displays, and award presentations added colour to the occasion.
