Dr. Andrew A. Igwe Care Foundation Rewards Outstanding Graduating Students in FCET Omoku and Rivers State University
Dr. Andrew A. Igwe Care Foundation, led by its Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Andrew A. Igwe, has rewarded outstanding graduating students of the Federal College of Education (Technical), Omoku, and Rivers State University in recognition of academic excellence and outstanding performance.
The awards were presented during the 19th–23rd Combined Convocation Ceremony of the Federal College of Education (Technical), Omoku, where the Foundation honoured the institution's best graduating students across various categories.
The recipients were:
1. Overall Best Graduating Student in the College

Speaking during the presentation, Dr. Andrew Igwe congratulated the award recipients and encouraged them to remain committed to excellence, continuous learning, and personal development.
He also commended the management of the institution for its dedication and relentless efforts toward positioning the college as a globally competitive institution. Dr. Igwe further reaffirmed the Foundation's readiness to continue partnering with the college in areas that promote educational development and academic excellence.
The Acting Provost of the College, Dr. Ndu Nwamadioke Felix Amadike, on behalf of the management, staff, and students, expressed appreciation to the Foundation for its leadership role in promoting education within Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area and beyond. He appealed for sustained collaboration in advancing educational opportunities for students.
In the same spirit of promoting academic excellence, a delegation from Dr. Andrew A. Igwe Care Foundation, led by the Director of Administration, Dr. Elechee Owhoeke, presented prizes to two exceptional students of the Department of English and Literary Studies, Faculty of Humanities, Rivers State University, during the department's magazine launch held on February 20, 2026.
The beneficiaries were recognized for their outstanding academic performance, character, and commitment to learning.
The award recipients were:

The students expressed their gratitude to the Foundation for the honour and recognition, stating that the award would further motivate them to excel academically while inspiring other students to prioritize their studies.
The Head of Department, English and Literary Studies, Rivers State University, Prof. G. Eme Worugji, thanked the Foundation on behalf of the University community for its uncommon commitment to motivating students. He noted that such initiatives encourage hard work, discipline, healthy competition, and academic excellence among students.
The Foundation remains committed to supporting education and empowering young people through initiatives that recognize excellence, reward diligence, and inspire future leaders.
