DR. ANDREW A. IGWE CARE FOUNDATION PAYS ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP AS DR. IGWE ADVISES STUDENTS TO SHUN CULTISM

On Saturday, 12th September 2026, the Dr. Andrew A. Igwe Care Foundation (DAAICF) made its annual scholarship payments to both old and new beneficiaries of its scholarship scheme, providing financial support towards tuition, school fees, and other academic-related expenses.

Having concluded the 2026 Annual Scholarship Examination in August, the Foundation invited all eligible beneficiaries to receive their scholarship payments as part of its continued commitment to supporting education and empowering young people.

This year’s scholarship programme captured beneficiaries across secondary, tertiary, and postgraduate levels, further demonstrating the Foundation’s sustained investment in education and human capital development.

The programme, which took place at the Assemblies of God Church Auditorium, Akabuka, commenced with praise and worship, followed by a brief sermon delivered by Rev. Cookey-Gam, who urged the students to prioritise their studies while making God the centre of everything they do.

Addressing the gathering, the Director of Administration, Dr. Elechee Owhoeke, urged both parents and students to ensure that the financial support provided by the Foundation is used strictly for academic purposes and towards advancing the educational goals of the beneficiaries.

The CEO/Founder of the Dr. Andrew A. Igwe Care Foundation, Dr. Andrew A. Igwe, also addressed the beneficiaries, appealing to them to shun cultism and other social vices capable of jeopardising their education, personal development, and future aspirations.

Dr. Igwe reminded the students of the Foundation’s commitment to rewarding academic excellence, reiterating that any beneficiary who graduates with distinction remains eligible for an automatic Master’s Degree scholarship.

Beyond the scholarship payments, Dr. Igwe held a special mentorship session with the tertiary beneficiaries, encouraging them to actively pursue opportunities in career development, entrepreneurship, business, and personal growth. He further assured them of his willingness to provide guidance and assistance wherever and whenever necessary.

Parents, guardians, and students expressed their profound gratitude to Dr. Andrew A. Igwe and the Foundation for the benevolent and selfless gesture and for the Foundation’s continued commitment to supporting the backbones of society over the years.

The annual scholarship programme remains a testament to the Foundation’s belief that investing in education is an investment in the future of individuals, communities, and society at large.

To God be the glory for His endless love and continued provision for the Foundation.

In all you do, put humanity first.
