DAAICF Successfully Conducts Annual Scholarship Examination for Indigent Students

The Dr. Andrew A. Igwe Care Foundation (DAAICF) successfully conducted its Annual Scholarship Examination aimed at identifying and supporting outstanding indigent students from communities across Egi Kingdom, as well as parts of Igburu and Ekpeye.

The examination, which catered to both secondary and tertiary institution students, attracted numerous candidates and witnessed keen competition as participants demonstrated their academic abilities in pursuit of scholarship opportunities.

The exercise forms part of the Foundation's long-standing commitment to promoting education, rewarding academic excellence, and providing financial support to less privileged students to enable them achieve their educational goals.

During the examination, the Special Assistant to the ONELGA Caretaker Committee Chairman, Mr. Onyiri Michael Obua, paid a visit to the examination venue to observe the conduct of the exercise. He commended the organizers for the transparent and orderly manner in which the examination was conducted and lauded the Foundation for its continued investment in education and youth development.

Addressing parents and guardians at the venue, the Chairman of the Examination Committee, Elder Enyioma Alfred Dick, alongside the Foundation's Director of Administration, Dr. Elechee Owhoeke, encouraged parents to pay closer attention to the academic development of their children and wards.

They noted that while many students demonstrated commendable efforts, there remains a need for greater commitment to reading and academic preparation in order to improve overall performance and competitiveness.

The parents and guardians expressed satisfaction with the examination process and commended Dr. Andrew Igwe for his unwavering commitment to supporting education and empowering young people through the Foundation's scholarship programme.

Following the examination, candidates, parents, and guardians were provided with light refreshments and transportation support before departing for their respective communities.

The event concluded on a joyful note as successful beneficiaries celebrated their achievements and posed for photographs, marking the beginning of another chapter in their educational journey.
