Association of Environmental Lawyers of Nigeria Honours Dr. Andrew Igwe with Fellow, Green Advocate of Nigeria (FGAN) Award

The Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and financier of the Dr. Andrew A. Igwe Care Foundation, Amb. Dr. Andrew Igwe, JP, has been honoured with the prestigious title of Fellow, Green Advocate of Nigeria (FGAN) by the Association of Environmental Lawyers of Nigeria (AELN).

The award was presented on November 13, 2025, in recognition of Dr. Igwe’s inspiring leadership, commitment, and contributions to environmental sustainability, conservation, and sustainable development in Nigeria.

A practicing professional environmentalist, Dr. Igwe has distinguished himself through years of dedicated service in environmental protection, conservation, management, and advocacy. His outstanding contributions to the environmental sector have earned him numerous awards, recognitions, and professional titles, reflecting his commitment to creating a healthier and more sustainable environment for present and future generations.

The award ceremony was held at the Osborn La-Palm Royal Resort, Port Harcourt, and attracted notable Nigerians from various sectors, including legal practitioners, environmental experts, public servants, community leaders, and development professionals.

According to the Association of Environmental Lawyers of Nigeria, the conferment of the Fellow, Green Advocate of Nigeria (FGAN) title recognizes individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and made significant contributions toward advancing environmental sustainability and development.
